In this episode of Feed That Nation, I went to Target!

Price-Checking Target Stores In Minneapolis

After investigating which of the several grocery stores in my area had the cheapest groceries (listen HERE), I wanted to dig deeper.

Would the same store in the same geographic location have the same prices for their groceries?

I chose Target for this experiment. There are 5 Target stores with a Minneapolis address, each in different neighborhoods.

I made up my grocery list of items that I would consider “staples” for many white Americans. Pasta and pasta sauce, apples, milk, ground beef, etc.

My husband and I discreetly went to each Target with our list and wrote down the prices we found for each item. We decided not to buy anything, since it wouldn’t be financially practical and we weren’t in need of those particular groceries at the time.

We may have set a record for “Most Times Going Into Target And Not Buying Anything”

When we were done, I put all of the prices into a spreadsheet to compare.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but what I discovered shocked me.

Every store had different pricing for almost every item!
