Ingredients (4-6 servings)

2 rolls of crescent roll dough

2 8oz packages of cream cheese

1/2 – 3/4 cup white sugar

2 teaspoons of vanilla

Cooking spray

Instructions

Step 0.5: Spray your casserole dish with cooking spray. Preheat your oven to 375F.

Step 1: Open your first tube of crescent roll dough and roll it out into the bottom of your casserole dish. Feel free to use your fingers to spread it out in the shape that you want.

Step 2: Place your cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl, and mix with a rubber spatula until well-combined. I actually used cream cheese spread for this one, which made it easy to stir. With block cream cheese, I’d suggest letting it soften a bit first.

Step 3: Scoop the cream cheese mixture onto your first layer of crescent dough, and spread evenly over the whole surface.

Step 4: Open your second tube of crescent dough and carefully lay over the cream cheese. You can stretch it a little, but don’t press down. If there are pieces that stick up over the ends, feel free to trim them off.

Step 5: Bake for 25 or so minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Step 6: Cool somewhat before serving, so the cream cheese has a chance to set. Serve warm or cold.
